There are certain feelings you get when you encounter truly breakthrough technology—an electric mix of excitement and anticipation that’s hard to describe but impossible to ignore.
I felt it in 2014, when I joined Snowflake as employee #26. Back then, we were a small team with a big vision—one that ultimately led to the largest software IPO in history.
I feel it again today at Theom.
The journey to Theom began unexpectedly. I first met Navindra at an industry event. Within minutes, I knew something was different. In all my years at Snowflake, I had never introduced a partner to a customer—not once. Early on, partners had little interest in working with us, and that skepticism stayed with me.
But Theom was different.
The moment I saw the platform in action, I realized it was solving a problem every modern organization struggles with: how to achieve true transparency and control over their sprawling, fragmented data ecosystem.
These aren’t theoretical questions—they’re foundational to trust, security, and compliance in the cloud and AI era. And they’ve been nearly impossible to answer... until now.
When I was offered the chance to join Theom—and step into a role previously held by Chris Degnan, the only CRO to scale a company from $0 to $4B in revenue—I didn’t think twice.
Add to that the fact that Theom has already landed some of the most regulated, demanding enterprises in the world—all before Series A—and the decision became even more obvious.
I was in New York with the Snowflake team the day of Snowflake’s IPO. It was surreal. A once-in-a-career experience.
And now? I believe I’ve found that spark again.
Theom is not just building another tool. It’s building the foundation for autonomous data security in a world that desperately needs it.
To everyone who's ever said, "If I could go back in time and join Snowflake in the early days, I would..."—this is your moment.
Let’s build something legendary.
